AUTHOR SKETCHES followed by WONDERFUL DRAWINGS BY CHILDREN. I love sketching during the writing process. Bringing a character to life in pictures, not just in words, helps me describe and visualise the characters. Here are some rough sketches I made while I was writing Bandit’s Great Escape.

NOW FOR CHLDREN’S DRAWINGS… The following pictures by JOSHUA were so good that I printed four of them in the back of the book!

I just LOVE this incredible expression on Croaky’s face, drawn by JOSHUA!

A friendly Polly the poodle drawn by JOSHUA. What do you think she’s saying to Bandit?

JOSHUA has drawn a great expression on Jake’s face when Bandit climbs on a chair to eat at the table!

A very posh Polly the Poodle drawn by HOLLY.

This wonderful drawing by VIOLET really captures Croaky’s strict expression.

I love the speech bubbles in this fun eye-catching scene drawn by RAYMOND. Look at Croaky’s legs and toes!

HANNAH has drawn a great smile on Croaky’s face as she is about to welcome Bandit.
